Mahatma Gandhi was a political leader who led a simple life. Gandhi was born to an affluent family but he died as a poor man. Gandhi accumulated little, ate only what he needed, dressed simply and led a simple stress-free life. When Gandhi died, he had less than ten personal possessions including a watch, a pair of spectacles, a pair of sandals and his eating bowl. Even today his way of life continues to inspire many others around the world.
