Trapped

I looked through the window
at a world eerily quiet amidst the chaos.
Like a scene in a dystopian age
of a fictional world.
And I grew envious of my own faint reflection in the glass
staring back at me,
in the outside looking in.
Time to breathe, time to think,
time to reflect.
Waiting for the silence to cease;
trapped in the peace of a silent war.
