COVID-19 is under full control due to the scientific approach taken by the Sri Lankan Health authorities, Sri Lankan armed forces and the police under the guidance of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Many sectors took part in this `operation’ successfully ongoing to control and then eliminate the disease from the country. It is the responsibility of all Sri Lankans to strictly follow all health guidelines issued by the Government and protect themselves from COVID-19 which can be deadly for some people, such as the elderly, those suffering from Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension and chronic diseases such as chronic respiratory diseases, kidney diseases, heart diseases and for those who underwent surgery recently.
