Insurange Regulatory Commission commemorated National Insurance Day

The Insurange Regulatory Commission commemorated National Insurance Day which fell on September 1, by organising an islandwide Art Competition among schoolchildren under the theme ‘Importance of Insurance for our lives and property’ . The competition was conducted under four categories.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Department of Aesthetic Studies of the Ministry of Education.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were provided for each category. The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka appreciated the winners by gifting cash prizes and awards. Thirty six winners were selected in the four categories.

Certificates of Merit were awarded to further 100 winners as 25 for each category.

The prize giving was held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksha Theatre with the participation of winning students, their parents, representatives of senior management of Insurance companies and other distinguished guests. Here are the highlights of the event.
