Sir Arthur Charles Clarke was a British Science fiction writer, futurist, inventor and undersea explorer. He was born on December 16, 1917 and died on March 19, 2008. Arthur C. Clarke established himself as a prominent science fiction writer during the mid 20th century. He wrote novels, such as Against the Fall of Night, Childhood’s End. His screen-play 2001: A Space Odyssey was made into a film by Stanley Kubrick. He wrote over a dozen books and many essays for popular magazines. He proposed the concept of the geostationary communication satellite and thus, he is often quoted as being the inventor of the communication satellite. He has contributed to the world by empowering mankind’s explorations.
