To commemorate Children’s Day which falls on November 14, every year coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (ICC), High Commission of India, Colombo, will organise Shankar’s International Children’s Competition on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m at SVCC, 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7. Children from all over the island are welcome to participate in painting/ drawing/ writing competitions.
The topic for essay writing/drawing/painting for the competitions will be “Earth is the only home we have, treasure it”.
The Shankar’s International Children’s Competition 2020, is open to children born on or after January 1, 2004.
All the entries done by the children will be sent to New Delhi for the Shankar’s International Children’s Competition 2020.
