Royal College the Best Behaved Team

29 September, 2019

This award was introduced to the Observer Mobitel School Cricketer of the Year in 2009 on a suggestion made by ICC Match Referee and former Sri Lanka captain Ranjan Madugalle who was the the winner of the inaugural Observer Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year title in 1978.

The game of cricket is called a gentleman’s sport because it embodies a high standard of values and sportsmanship and it is fitting that while we recognize talent on the pitch we also recognize values such as good conduct, fair play and sportsmanship that go hand in hand with the game.
