The Interact District Conference was held at Temple Trees recently with District Governor, Dushan Soza as chief guest and Justice Minister Thalatha Athukorale as guest of honour.
The conference was organised by the Interact Clubs of Wesley, D.S. Senanayake and St. Thomas Colleges. The conference chairmen of the three schools Murthaaz Barry, Dulina Chandrasiri and Yehan Abeyasinghe delivered the welcome speech.
This year, they celebrated the peaceful change of leadership and are preparing for the future, while also bringing together interactors from all over the district, to promote harmony, co-habitation and for mutually beneficial development.
More than 1000 participants from Interactors to Rotarians took part. The event hosted various guest speakers who imparted an educational message to the youth. District Interact Committee Chairperson (DICC) Rttn Marshad Barry, Rttn Nithy Murugesu, DICC Rttn Andrew Samuel and Rttn G.S. Sylvester were also present.
