12 May, 2019

Three Bold Pixies and other stories by Enid Blyton is a collection of sixteen short stories titled Three Bold Pixies, The Pixies’ Handkerchief, The Squabblers, The Three Pixies’ Birthday, Wisky, Waddle and Weedle, A Muddle of Pixies, Silly Little Goofy, The Pixies Make a Pie, The Three Pixies Up a Tree, The Runaway Apples, The Three Pixies at the Station, The Three Pixies and the Cats, Big Hands and Nobbly, The Three Pixies and Mr. Tubby, Four Little Wheels and The Pixies Say Goodbye.

As Enid Blyton writes the three pixies are identical as “peas in a pod” which results in much confusion as well as comedy in the stories. For example, in the stories The Three Pixies Up a Tree, The Pixies Make a Pie and The Pixies Say Goodbye, the characters Mr. Fussy, the milkman and Lady Isabel Dumps are all confused by the pixies identical appearance.

The stories take the reader on a journey to the enchanted world of pixies, fairies, gnomes and goblins and share the adventures of their daily life.
