A concert by Edward Jayakody, Charitha Priyadarshani Peiris and Chandeepa Jayakody will be held at the Nelum Pokuna Auditorium on April 6, at 7 pm.
Sri Lankan singer Edward Jayakody, a university lecturer and also a director of education, is an internationally renowned singer, musician, film and teledrama music director, with a career spanning 42 years. He is joined by his wife Charitha Priyadarshani, a graduate of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, a popular singer in mainstream Sri Lankan music for the past 32 years and a television and radio presenter, with a career in the cinema and the teledrama field in Sri Lanka.
Their only son, Chandeepa Jayakody, a Management graduate of Deakin University, Australia, joins in the concert as a singer, composer and a musician of the younger generation.
The concert is organised by music director Suresh Maliyadda, Peshala Manoj and Dinesh Subhasinghe.
