
The Ampara District ‘Pradeepa Praba-2018’ Cultural Clinic camp by the Cultural Affairs Department, coordinated by the Ampara Additional District Secretary, K.Vimalanathan, was held at the Addalaichenai Government Teachers’ College, recently.
The camp was organized by the Ampara District Secretariat Cultural Officer T. M. Rinzan, where more than 300 youths, both Tamils and Muslims from 13 Divisional Secretariat Divisions within the district of Ampara participated.
Cultural Affairs Department, Assistant Director, Sutheera Nilanka Vithana, Ampara Additional District Secretary, K. Vimalanathan, Addalaichenai Divisional Secretary, J. Liyakathali, Departmental Heads and other high ranking officials participated in the program.
Professors S. Mounaguru, Ramees Abdullah, Veteran Poets U. L. M. Atheek (Solaikkili), Uma Varathaajan and other specialists in Literary Arts and Cultural Activities were the facilitators of the camp.
Drama, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Literature, Poetry, Music, Dance, Radio Broadcasting, Kalikambu and other topics were discussed. Participants received practical training and were awarded certificates.
