Innovation exhibition ‘Spark 2018’ organised by Royal College, Colombo and powered by Dialog concluded recently. Students, the Sri Lanka Inventors' Commission and the Sri Lanka tri-forces displayed their exhibits at the Royal College premises with an open invitation to the public to visit Spark 2018.
Spark 2018 featured a dedicated ‘Future Pavilion’ by Dialog to engage and excite audiences. The ‘Future Pavilion’, powered by Ideamart, a platform for developers and content providers, included a variety of ‘smart solutions’ developed using IOT technology. A smart weather station, garbage sensor and smart meters were among the few exhibits that harnessed the power of IOT to deliver the future – smart cities.
Additionally, the Future Pavilion demonstrated a range of Dialog’s previously launched technology firsts in South Asia and Sri Lanka including an Ai-powered next generation humanoid customer associate, NBIOT boards, ESIM technology and Google Home and Amazon Alexa integrations for Customer Relationship Management.
The recently launched Genie Payment App - Sri Lanka’s First PCI-DSS Certified mobile payment app was showcased at the exhibition. An interactive lucky wheel, the Ideamart technology quiz and a gaming zone were highlights at the stall.
The exhibition provided an opportunity to students from all corners of Sri Lanka to showcase their innovations and showcased several categories including food and agriculture, ICT and electronics.
