Children and young people around the world have been invited to join the International World Food Day Poster Contest organised by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and to be part of the #ZeroHunger Generation.
World Food Day 2018 will raise the alarm over recently increased hunger figures and call on countries and people around the world to take action so that we can achieve Zero Hunger by 2030. FAO will remind the world that Zero Hunger is still possible if we work together to reach this goal.
FAO invites children and young people (5-19 years old) to create posters that bring this year’s theme to life. The World Food Day website (www.fao.org/world-food-day) provides materials and information to help students and teachers learn about the theme and to stimulate creativity.
Entering the contest is simple. Children or their teachers can scan or take a photograph of their entry and submit it online: www.fao.org/world-food-day/2018/contest.
Winners of the poster contest will be announced in December on the World Food Day website, on FAO social media and promoted by FAO offices all over the world.
They will also feature in an exhibition at FAO headquarters in Rome and receive a surprise gift bag and Certificate of Recognition signed by a United Nations official!
The deadline for entries is November 9, 2018
