During the December holidays we went on a trip to Sigiriya. After travelling for many hours we reached Sigiriya. The steps of the Sigiriya rock fortress were built from limestone and the walls were built with bricks and stones. In ancient times Sigiriya was the palace of King Kashyapa. We saw many murals on the walls. We returned the next day.
