The Poor

28 January, 2018

Feeling Oh so lonely with nowhere to go
No one to talk to about worries or woes
Looking at the people who have things they can't afford
Leaning against the walls looking tired and bored.
Having such little food that one can barely eat
No shelter from the cold or comfy slippers on their feet
Having no money, so little they can barely spare
No warm baths each day and night or hair gel on their hair
Children never go to school
While we sit on sofa's they sit on stools
We think our lives are dull ‘it's miserable’ we say
But they would gladly exchange places any day
Those poor people what problems they bear
But us people, do we even care?
Help one another and show some concern
By giving them some happiness in their lives they yearn!
