The Sri Lankan music industry has gone through several stages.The entertainment fraternity and many have taken steps to conquer the music world beyond borders. In the past we have had a very close relationship with Indian/Bollywood music. The influencing music from India has been wholeheartedly welcomed and accepted by Sri Lankans, no matter what the occasion. Bollywood music has always been a household regular on playlists.
Talking about Bollywood music, the legendary singer Udit Narayan brings us many memories of our younger days through his melodious voice. Sound Vision Entertainment, the leading entertainment company in Sri Lanka has taken one step further to take Sri Lankan music to the world by partnering with Imtiaz Entertainment who is the proud producer for ‘Aditya Narayan live in Sri Lanka”. Imtiaz Entertainment too, believes in lending a helping hand in the entertainment industry.
While talking to Sanka Dineth who is a part of this project together with Aditya Narayan in promoting Bollywood and Sri Lankan music mutually in their own respective countries, he said, “The invitation was bought to me by Sound Vision to do a mash up video with Aditya Narayan. Initially it was just an idea which would have been just another track, but we wanted it to be an international collaboration, so I grabbed this opportunity to promote Sri Lankan originality to the world.
“Since Aditya is the son of the famous legendary singer Udit Narayan, myself together with the Sound Vision Entertainment crew came up with his father’s popular songs. And then we decided which parts were to be sung by Aditya and me. We always had doubts if the project would be a success because we always wanted to bring out an international flavour in the project, so I started to rearrange the music and when I hit the first note I had a gut feeling that this was going to be one of the greatest projects to come through.
“I felt like it was a blessing in disguise. We were able to complete the mash up hit overnight and send it to India for further development.
“I met Aditya Narayan when he was back in Sri Lanka a few weeks back and we explained our concept to him. I was amazed at how he humbly accepted it and came forward to complete the project. But till the last moment we did not reveal the twist or the surprise element of this project. I invited Aditya to sing one of my original songs ‘Rae Sihine Ma’ and we were all amazed by how easily he grasped the notes and sang so naturally just like a Sri Lankan artist would.”
Sound Vision Entertainment has always been in the forefront in promoting Sri Lankan originality. It has been constantly innovative in the show biz market. The above track has been a chart-topper in most of the leading radio stations in Sri Lanka, and talking to the organizers - Hosni Imtiaz had to say the following :

The radio version has been a great hit and we are working on the music video which will be launched in few days from today. We have kept the concept very simple and warm and I invite everyone who loves Hindi music to watch the video and give us anhonest opinion. The video also will be launched in TV stations and social media platforms in both countries.
This is only the first stage of the project in collaborating artistes from the world with Sri Lankan artistes on the 13th of January 2018. We will be organizing an international event at CR&FC so all Sri Lankans can have the opportunity to experience a unique musical evening.
Aditya Narayan live in Sri Lanka is a concept to provide an opportunity for Aditya and various Sri Lankan artistes to have a feel of an international stage as well as an opportunity to exchange their views of the industry and, maybe, this can be an eye opener to show biz industry in Sri Lanka.
