Wellknown band, the ‘Sakwala Chakraya’ will release its debut album, titled ‘Captain Zero’, at La langousterie, Mount Lavinia on December 16.
The concert will also be a tribute to the late Prasanna Abeysekera, a founding member of ‘Sakwala Chakraya’ and a pioneering figure in the Sri Lankan rock music scene. The launch will also include special guest acts by ‘Paranoid Earthling’ and ‘Local’. The album will be available for public at the event.

Sakwala Chakraya is a band from Colombo that plays a self coined genre known as Post-Colonial Trance Punk.
They began performing and composing together in 2014 and have been working towards their debut release since 2015.
The band consists of Thushara Kulatunga (vocals), Sarani Perera (guitar), Uvindu Perera (bass), Isaac Smith (synths, guitars and vocals) and Yohan Jayasooriya (drums).
