Adam’s Peak is the second highest mountain in Sri Lanka. It is also called Sri Pada. It is in the Rathnapura district. It is a sacred place for all four religions – Buddhists, Hindus, Christian and Muslims. Sri Pada is believed to have the footprint of the Buddha, Shiva and Adam. The four major rivers the Mahaweli, Kelani, Kalu and Walawe rivers originate from Adam’s Peak.
