English is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. It is not only popular but also useful. A large number of books have been written in English. It is the first language in England. It is the second language of Sri Lanka. The British used English to govern Sri Lanka. They opened schools and taught us English. English is very important to us. It helps with communication. People of various races and countries all over the world can exchange their ideas because of their knowledge of English. It is the key to learning. It helps us to learn science, maths and other subjects. It also helps us to find good jobs.
