Tintin is one of my favourite story book characters. The Tintin books are written by Herge, an author with a marvelous sense of humour and creativity. The main character of course is Tintin, a young man in his early 20s. He has a little white dog named Snowy who helps him a lot in his adventures. Captain Haddock who is a friend of Tintin lives in Marlenspike Hall which is a mansion with Professor Calculus. Captain Haddock is a retired captain who is addicted to whiskey. He is very funny. One of my favourite books in the Tintin series is Tintin in Tibet, which features Tintin going in search of a friend in Nepal.

Tintin has just come back from mountain climbing and finds out that his young friend named Chang is coming to meet him but his plane crashes in the Himalayan mountains. When Tintin sees in a dream that Chang is alive and calling for help, he is convinced that Chang is alive. He sets out to Nepal hiking for days in the mountains. At last he finds Chang shaking with fear in a cave.

I simply love this story because it is exciting and also funny. It has many twists and turns unraveling unexpected things.
