The Buddha’s name was Prince Siddhartha. He was born in India. His father’s name was King Suddhodana. His mother’s name was Queen Mahamaya. Prince Siddhartha had a horse named Kanthaka. Seven days after the birth of Prince Siddhartha, Queen Mahamaya died. After she died, Queen Maha Prajapathi Gothami looked after Prince Siddhartha. When Prince Siddhartha was eight-years-old, he was sent to Brahamin Vishvamithra for his education. Prince Siddhartha learnt sixty four subjects and good manners. Prince Siddhartha studied well.
