You, her and me

10 September, 2017

Once I remember we were young and old, trying things we didn’t know.
Playing on the meadow, wearing little frocks and glimpsing at the ponies.
Once I remember we were in our youth and we fell in love as the summer went by.
Once I remember we parted from each other, married and had kids,
And we started talking over the phone.
Once I remember our children graduated and left us.
Now I say being eighty, elder sister died and you and I remain.
Our life is like the seasons. And we too will see the Winter.
But now it’s Autumn and our life will go on as the leaves turn brown.
[Meaning=how three sisters spent their lives]
