On the 24th of June my mother got a sudden call from Aunty Nirosha. She called to say that my best friend, who left Galle in January 2016, to join a new school in Colombo is going to visit us. That was her first visit after leaving Galle. I was thrilled when I heard the news. She had come to Galle to participate at a chess tournament. She called over around 7.00 p.m. with her mother and brother. The moment she entered through our gates she hugged me. We laughed a lot. She brought a nice Dora school bag for me. I too gave her a present. We arranged tea for them. I call her by her name Rishi. She is fat and cute. We played with Shopkins. She left around 10 p.m. to get back to Colombo. We both didn’t feel like parting. We both missed each other. That was the most enjoyable day in my life.
