Shore music

30 July, 2017

When the wind is calm,
And the moon is full,
And the waters softly swing.
You may see the mermaids,
Sit by the shore,
As they comb their hair and sing.
Your ears may be long,
For their strange sea-song,
But do not tread too near.
At the slightest sound,
Of a foot on the ground,
They will dip... dip... disappear.
