BEST BOOK REVIEWS: Exchanging roles

30 July, 2017

My favourite book is The Prince and the Pauper. It is written by Mark Twain. It was first published in 1881.

There are two main characters in the book. They are Edward Tudor, who was an English Prince, and Tom Canty who was a miserable pauper.

Edward Tudor and Tom Canty look alike, but their lives could hardly be different.

One day, fate intervenes, and for a while each has to live the other’s life as they change their places.

I love to read this book because it brings curiosity and humour.

I think young readers can gain knowledge about royal customs and traditions of ancient England by reading this book.
