
The Graduation Ceremony of Class of 2017 of the British School in Colombo (BCS) was held on June 23, 2017 at the School auditorium. The event was graced by Una McCauley, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative as chief guest, with Chairman of the British School, MU Maniku, Managing Director of the British School in Colombo, Priyantha Hettiaratchchi and Country Manager Cambridge International Examinations, Panchalika Kulatunga as guests of honour.
As the class of 60 wonderful individuals look forward to take their first steps away from the British School, the school community celebrated their many successes and paid tribute to their numerous contributions in all areas of school life from the Sixth Form and throughout their time at the British School in Colombo.
At a special program of celebratory song and music, led by the Senior School Choir and musicians, guests were treated to some inspirational readings and a touching reflection on behalf of the graduating class.
This was a proud moment for parents, family members, teachers and friends as they marked the leavers’ new beginning as they prepare to enter the world’s finest academic institutions all over the world.
The Class of 2017 join a global network of BSC Alumni that literally spans the globe. (NA)
