BEST BOOK REVIEWS: Parallel universes

The novel The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman is one of the best books that I have read. It is published by Scholastic children’s books. The Subtle Knife is the second part of a story in three volumes, which began with Northern Lights. This volume moves between three universes and the main characters are Lyra and Will.

It is a bubbly and a fantastical adventure story told with energy and imagination. In this story, the subtle knife brings Lyra to an eerie city where she meets a mysterious boy. His name is Will. Together they find a powerful and a secret object, and travel through parallel universes. The special thing in this novel is the special compass which shows the truth about everything. I liked this book a lot because it teaches us about friendship, and also because it is a wonderful adventure story.
