The basket of flowers

5 March, 2017

I found a basket of flowers,
lying beneath my feet.
But no note,no words.
Lavenders, marigolds, daffodils,and tulips.
And a rose could be found.
Nor was I sick or happy.
Or it must have been sent by the wrong mail address.
As I took it to my hands, and smelled the air inside,
the fragrance lulled in my mind.
Indeed I was true!
And now, here came a young man,
asking me for excuse, and snapped the basket, from me.
As I was curious, I pushed myself through the bushes,
and saw the young man handing the basket to a young lady.
And uselessly will they end as they will get withered, after sunset.
