We celebrate our Independence Day on 4th of February. This year we celebrated the 69th Independence Day. Weerapuranappu, Gongalegoda Banda, Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Thero, S. Mahinda Thero and Kudapola are some of the heroes who fought for freedom for our country. Some heroes also sacrificed their lives. Therefore, we must love and protect our country.
