The Secret Seven unknowingly stumbles upon a mystery. They solve a crime which has baffled even the police. The most interesting part of the novel is when they encounter the gang. Peter nearly gets caught to the gang, but is rescued by his faithful dog scamper.
The Secret Seven holds meetings to discuss their investigations as real crime solvers do. Of course, their meetings are more interesting and fun. They also have their little fights, but these fights are always resolved between the friends.
The seven are always on the look out for adventure and are always a step ahead of the police. Even though they are children, they somehow get ahead because of their team work. The Secret Seven on the Trail is a must-read for all those Enid Blyton fans who have a knack for adventure.
