James and the Giant Peach is one of the most famous books written by Roald Dahl. The main characters are James, Old Green Grasshopper, Earthworm, Centipede, Silkworm, Ladybird and Miss Spider. The story begins on a sad note. James's parents have been eaten by a rhinoceros, so now he lives with his two repulsive aunts. He finds a giant peach in his garden with giant insects inside. He has a marvellous adventure where he forgets all the trouble caused by his horrible aunts, and the sadness of the death of his parents. He travels in the peach with his giant insect friends and starts a new life. He becomes a writer and writes his first book James and the Giant Peach. This is a very interesting book which makes you feel that you are having a real and marvellous adventure in that giant peach.
