My country is Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. It is called the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardenapura, Kotte. Colombo is the finance capital. Sri Lanka has a hot, wet climate. There are trees, forests, waterfalls, rivers and seas. The main crops grown are tea, rubber, coconut and paddy. The citizens of Sri Lanka are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and Burghers.
