Mariana Trench

Mariana trench is the deepest part of all the oceans. This trench is situated in the West Pacific Ocean. It is about 2550 kilometres long, and the average width is 69 kilometres. The first manned submarine which landed at the foot of the Mariana trench is ‘Bathyscaphe Triest'. Scientists discovered a new type of snailfish, and also found tiny organisms which live in the bottom of the trench.
