In a chilly night, with the cold wind,

While the snow falling,I heard someone crying.

I turned myself around the snow to see who was crying,

No, no one I could see, only the white snow I could see.

I heard the cry again,

Which made myself turn around again,

Oh! I saw, I saw,

Who is crying in the freezy snow.

He was a small boy,

With no guardian,

No warm clothes, no gloves,

But a cute look.

I went near him,

To talk with him,

He refused to answer me,

By crying loud.

Why does he cry?

Why does he weep?

Why is he alone?

In the freezy ice...
