The 11th air rifle training and coaching camp for Asian youth began at the Mount Lavinia Hotel on Wednesday under the patronage of Sheikh Salman Al Sabah, the president of Asian Shooting Confederation, Engr. Duaij Al Otaibi, the secretary general of Asian Shooting Confederation and Shirantha Peries, the president of the National Shooting Sport Federation of Sri Lanka.
According to an official, over 40 athletes and coaches are participating in the 10-day program of which 22 are athletes and 20 are coaches.
He said the purpose of the Asian Shooting Confederation camp is to develop youth and junior athletes as well as national coaches. (TBR)
