Lionel Messi the captain of Argentina Football who won the world cup for Argentina recently and widely recognised as one of the greatest footballers of all-time reaches another milestone by scoring his 800 th career goal internationally today (24 March). He scored the goal at a match between Panama and Argentina Buenos Aires.
He scored his 800 th goal in a 25-yard free kick in spectacular fashion at the 89 th minute of the game for his country. Argentina achieved a 2 nil victory in the game.
Messi is currently on 99 goals goal for Argentina, and he has a chance to reach a century when Argentina play Curacao on Tuesday.
Messi is the second footballer to reach this milestone after Christiana Ronaldo.
