
The Sri Lanka Canada Business Council of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce held a clean-up project in collaboration with the Canada High Commission at the Beddegana Wetland Park Madiwela yesterday from 8.30 am. to 11.30 p.m. to mark Canada Day on July 1.
Canadian High Commissioner Eric Walsh attended this project with some officials of the High Commission while Ceyline Shipping Lines hosted the event as the co-sponsor along with the Sri Lanka Canada Business Council (SLCBC).
A team from Global Academy of Further Education Nugegoda, UCL, Thames International Educational Consultancy (Pvt) Ltd Nugegoda and committee members of the SLCBC attended the event along with the Zero Plastic National Movement.
President of the Sri Lanka Canada Business Council, Priyantha Chandrasekara along with the committee members appreciated the presence of all participants including the High Commissioner and the Zero Plastic National Movement to make this a remarkable event.
