14 May, 2023

M. M. Anura of 206/2, Malkaduwawa, Kurunegala, an ex-employee of Nestle Lanka PLC is suffering from a colon cancer since the year 2019. So far he has undergone four surgeries, 25 cycles of Radio Therapy and immense cycles of Chemotherapy that could be administered.

The follow up investigations done in February this year revealed that there was a recurrence of the same cancer for the 5th time. Doctors are of the opinion that further surgeries, Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy are not possible and effective again.

The only option available is to undergo a limited cycles of TomoTherapy (TomoTherapy is a radiation delivery system and a CT scanner that provides 3D images before each treatment. I

t’s a form of Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) used to treat various cancers). This treatment is only available at the Ceylinco Health Care Centre, Hyde Park Corner at a cost of Rs. 350,000.

“With my family challenged with severe mental dissolution due to my medical and financial situation, as a last and final resort I humbly appeal to you to be of assistance in this my financial struggle to get over this medical calamity,” he said.

Please help me with whatever financial support you could provide so I could spend the rest of my days in comfort and hope as all my savings have been drained out over the last 4 years. I pray that you will be blessed in whatever way you help me.

Your contributions to expedite my treatment may be remitted to:- M.M. Anura AC No. 100653458418 / Sampath Bank, Kurunegala Branch Contact N. 0773835495
