Ginigathhena, Aliwatte Estate Police says that a fire that has started in a room of a house which has spread and four houses in a row has been destroyed today morning (21 February).
The row of houses located at line number one of the estate has caught fire in this manner, and the furniture and other belongings of those houses have been destroyed by fire.
Estate workers and the police had taken steps to prevent the fire from spreading to other estate houses.
The police said that there were no casualties due to the fire. The Ginigathhena Police is conducting further investigations on this matter.
