Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) won the 2023 cricket Sixes tournament organised by the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) beating Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) in the final last Sunday at the NCC ground in Colombo.
Batting first, the CICT team led by Anju Jayashantha scored an impressive 108 for no loss and restricted the SLPA team to 93 for five wickets to win the final by 15 runs.
On the way to annexing the championship trophy, CICT defeated teams from Colombo Dockyard and Sri Lanka Customs.
Organisers said a record 64 men’s teams contested the tournament.
