The Sri Lanka Under-19 girls cricket team produced an unimpressive show at the Youth World Cup in South Africa winning just one match against lowly rated USA while losing to India, Australia, Bangladesh and South Africa.
Apart from some individual performances by one or two girls the rest could do very little or nothing.
Skipper Vishmi Gunaratne made scores of 34 against USA, 60 versus Bangladesh, 25 versus India, 3 versus Australia and 12 against South Africa.
Dewmi Vihanga was the other player who contributed as she did well with both bat and ball.
