Top ranked golf players and the Tri-Forces and Police are expected to participate in the prestigious Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament 2023 to be played at the Air Force Eagle’s Golf course in China Bay Trincomalee on January 21.
This event to be hosted by the Air Force has become a much awaited and iconic golf tournament for the leading golfers in Sri Lanka that carries a handsome trophy. They are also being supported by Dialog Enterprise and is the tenth edition, having commenced in 2013.
The event will be hosted under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force and Chairman of the AFEGLC, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.
The chairman of golf at Air Force Air Vice Marshal Prasanna Ranasinghe said that this will be the first event in the new calendar year and it will be played for the Eagles Challenge Trophy which will be presented to the top performer among the armed services.
The awards ceremony will be held in the evening and will be graced by the Commander of the SLAF, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.
