Secretary of the Railway Station Masters’ Association, Kasun Chamara informed the Railway General Manager in writing on July 21 afternoon that the Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Association has decided not to implement the railway fare revision from Friday, July 22 midnight. The letter added that there was no adequate time to inform the passengers about the fare revision and a day is not enough for accounting and related work at the railway stations and it would cause inconvenience to the station masters and passengers. - SA
