The harvesting of organic turmeric took place at the Valaichchenai Divisional Secretariat premises recently.
The harvesting ceremony was presided over by Assistant Divisional Secretary K. Amalini. Parliamentarian and Coordinating Chairman of the Batticaloa District Development Committee Sivanesadurai Chandrakanthan, Batticaloa District Secretary K. Karunagaran and Divisional Director of Planning R. Gangatharan were present.
