To commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, the Centre for Contemporary Indian Studies (CCIS) of the University of Colombo, with the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), Colombo will celebrate the garlanding of the bust of Rabindranath Tagore at the Main Library of the University of Colombo tomorrow, May 8 at 9.30 am.
High Commissioner of India, Taranjit Singh Sandhu will be the chief guest.
Senior Professor Lakshman Dissanayake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo and academics of the University of Colombo will grace the occasion.
