The regional court of Punjab Province in Pakistan banned the physical check of an intact hymen and “two-finger test” in rape examinations followed two petitions filed by Human Rights activists in Punjab province.
Ayesha Malik, the Lahore High Court judge said these tests were "humiliating" and "had no forensic value".
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has discredited the test, saying it has no scientific evidence and is a human rights violation.
