The University Grants Commission (UGC) has postponed the deadline for university registration for the academic year 2020 by two weeks.
The UGC in a media communique said the deadline set for March 26 has been extended until April 9. UGC Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said, if the prevailing situation in the country continues, the UGC stands ready to put off the new deadline to prevent any inconvenience to students who plan to enrol.
The media release said any further decisions taken regarding registration of new students will be announced via its official website and media.
