A forum on Sri Lanka’s economic direction for 2020, organised by the Sri Lanka-Malaysia Business Council (SLMBC), will take place at 6 p.m. on January 27 at the Galadari Hotel.
The event will include some of the country’s key business and economic leaders, who will discuss the potential for Sri Lanka’s national and foreign direct investment. The forum will also address future economic policies, key areas for development, export earnings, development of the tourism industry, key projects such as the Port City and how local businesses can invest and expand.
Advisor to the Government, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa will deliver the keynote address.
This will be followed by a panel discussion comprising Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing Facilities, Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama, Chief Economist, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Shiran Fernando and representatives of the Board of Investment and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
