
The Hibiscus Beach Hotel, set in a four-acre extent in Mahawaskaduwa, Kalutara, is back in business after an extensive renovation program. The Hotel’s 50 deluxe rooms and six villas have been upgraded with elegant and unique designs and tasteful interior decorations.
Hibiscus Hotel’s Villa rooms consist of two rooms and private balconies, Jacuzzi and plunge pools. All rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the idea of providinga warm, cosy and comfortable stay in a safe and secure environment.
Owned and managed by E.W. Balasuriya & Co (Pvt) Ltd, the Hibiscus is the second hotel property of the Company, which also owns Hotel Casamara.
The Hotel, complete with a range of facilities from gourmet food, fine restaurants, bar, gym, private beach, landscaped garden, swimming pool and baby pool, Spa and banquet facilities has earned a niche as a unique beach hotel for a long time. For those who love sports, Hibiscus would be an ideal holiday destination as it offers facilities for recreational activities such as, badminton, beach volleyball and cricket.

The Hotel’s main restaurant is spacious and airy with a large dining area. Its elegant furnishing and cheerful lighting add flavour to the dining experience of the guest. The restaurant serves food ranging from Sri Lankan, Western, Eastern to fusion meals. However, the signature dish of Hibiscus is its seafood specialities prepared from the day’s catch brought fresh from the returning fishing boats.
The Hotel also offers dining options on the beach where dinner would be served by the sea at sunset or a romantic candle lit dinner on the guest room balcony.
The Hotel has also created facilities for banquet and meetings with a seating capacity for 250 pax. We are planning to increase our market share in the meetings, incentives and conferences sector,” the Hotel spokesman said.
