The death occurred yesterday of Roshan Pathberiya, a former Executive of SriLankan Airlines and several foreign embassies, after a brief illness. He was 54.
An illustrious old boy of Ananda College, Colombo, Pathberiya played a leading role in the school’s alumni associations. He was also a dramatist and orator. A devout Buddhist, he was a well-known social and religious worker in the Pannipitiya area. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
His remains are at his Depanama residence (near Sirasa TV on the Thalawathugoda-Pannipitiya Road) and the funeral will take place tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Ambagashathara Cemetery, Depanama.
